The joys of Chicago Weather. As models predicted over the last few days, most of the "heavy" snow was going to go south of us.
As of the midnight models, ithere are a few models now indicating s furher North track, which would indicate the possibility of some areas in the forecast area could see some sort of accumulating snow, starting as early as late tonight. We could see a winter weather advisory issued later today for at least the southern (south of I-80) area.
The bigger story may be the lake effect potential over thw weekend as winds come off the lake (Northeast winds).
If you are traveling this weekend, especially East, be prepared. The east coast looks to get nailed with thos system.
