Cold north to northwest flow will continue today keeping temperatures in the high teens to low 20s. Lake effect snow has developed over eastern Lake Michigan this morning and is expected to transition farther west this afternoon. There is a potential for heavy snow bands to reach Porter County, Indiana. Outside of lake effect snow, expect occasional flurries across the forecast area today. High pressure will build into the region late Saturday into Sunday allowing winds to diminish and skies to clear.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 19. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph.
Monday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 28. East wind between 5 and 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.
Monday Night: A 40 percent chance of snow, mainly after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 23.
